Our Location - Ventnor on the Isle of Wight

This Island has one of the best climates in the British Isles: the Victorian spa town of Ventnor is renowned for its sheltered southerly aspect and is aptly titled the 'Madeira of England'.
The Isle of Wight has a gentle maritime climate which enables a variety of unusual and exotic plants to flourish here. There are stunning down land and coastal walks close to the hotel where you can take advantage of the fresh sea air.
Getting to the Isle of Wight
The Royal Hotel enjoys a magnificent coastal location in Ventnor on the Isle of Wight, just off the south coast of the UK. The Isle of Wight is just a 30 minute crossing from the mainland and ferries run regularly right throughout the day. For those wishing to bring their cars to the Island, the Royal Hotel can arrange travel via Southampton's Red Funnel Ferries. All you have to do is let us know your preferred sailing times and leave the rest to us.
